Our Church First Christian--because we have been saved by our Lord Jesus Christ and we seek to obey Him in all of life. Reformed--because we continually re-shape our teachings and our life –style according to the Bible, as it was re-discovered in the Reformation Church--because we have been brought together by God’s Spirit, committing ourselves to service in the church and community where Christ has placed us Our “…serve God by developing disciples of Christ, glorifying our Lord in worship, and reaching out to our world with the good news of salvation.” We serve because we are called by God to do so. We believe God desires to build His church at First Jenison and will accomplish His purpose when we prayerfully discern His will for us. We believe the Holy Scriptures are the only infallible guide to faith and life; sermons, classes, and small group studies equip us to know, understand, and apply scriptures in our daily lives. We are called to praise God in our worship as we celebrate His goodness and grace. We reflect Christ to the world around us by showing love and acceptance to each other and our neighbors, and taking the message of salvation to our community and our world, so that they might experience God’s glory.
